The agreement will benefit more than 1,000 businesses throughout the province
From the beginning of February businesses throughout the province of Granada will be able to benefit from a series of measures designed to improve energy efficiency in their business and reduce bills.
This possibility was created by the signing of an agreement between the President of the Federation of Commerce in Granada, Mr. Enrique Oviedo and the Marina d´Or Energías Renovables S.A (MDER) regional manager in Andalucia, Mr. Luís Turatti.
The collaboration agreement signed will allow more than 40 business associations in a wide variety of sectors, comprising more than 1,000 businesses throughout the province, to adhere to a variety of energy saving proposals including corrective measures that will lead to the adoption of energy efficient services without a rise in energy bills.
Marina d´Or Energías Renovables is offering to substitute commercial lighting systems for LED technology in halogen lights, downlights, conventional light bulbs etc. etc. This technology offers immediate switch on capability and each light's useful life span exceeds 50,000 hours, ten times more than traditional lighting systems. The agreement also offers a series of financial advantages to those businesses that take advantage of these savings, savings which would be increased by incoporating Energy Saving Devices. The use of this technology in businesses can save up to 90% in energy consumption, 50% in energy bills, with a 5 year guarantee.
